Younglan Talyoung is a multiple award-winning performance poet and spoken word artist signed to the prominent Alewa House. Most of his pieces give voice to and seek to address day-to-day societal problems that Nigerians face daily. He has performed at the Lagos International Poetry Festival, Mupun Youth Connect, and a wide range of stages around the country. His recent poem "Elbow Room" was loudly applauded by industry enthusiasts and critics as one of the most conscious spoken word poems available today. Younglan volunteers and tends after his animal farm when not writing or performing poetry.
